RECORD DEAL

 

At Gigs,we encourage a great number of our clients to own a record label.We do this by sharing our label license with our clients.This means that our clients can enjoy a great deal of revenue from our growing entertainer's royalty,stage performance payments, stream payments,endorsement payment etc.

When we talk about signing entertainers,we talk about signing all kind of stage entertainers including ,but not limited to dancers,singers,rappers,motivational speakers,play writers,pianist,guitarist etc.

To keep this partnership secured within Gigstagers parameters of regulation,Our clients are required to attach 'Gigs' or 'Gigstager' to the prefix or suffix of the desired name for their record label.e.g Dynamite-Gigs,Gigs-rowlands etc. It is only in this nature that our license sharing remains Germain.

TYPES OF RECORD DEAL

Gigs only sell two types of record deal.these are :

1.360 record deal: This record deal implies that a client who signs an entertainer enjoys 50% of every revenue that comes from streaming,stage performances,endorsement deals,tours  etc.

To sign a 360 record deal with an entertainer,you will be required to effect NGN20,000 upfront fee.Subsequently you will be required to pay for recordings and PR.This function is exclusively handled by the record label.

In 360 record deal,the record label has a right to 50% creativity.

2.MAJOR RECORD DEAL

In major record deal,client enjoys 90% profit from streams,live performance, endorsement deal etc.

In Major record deal,the label is expected to do these?

1.Pay NGN5 million upfront fee to the entertainer

2.Provide a minimum of mini flat accommodation for the entertainer

3.Handle 100% of recording, publicity and PR fee

4.A car (Minimum of 2004 model),if the entertainer is an A-list entertainer,and doesn't own a car yet.

5.Health insurance cover and special health benefit for ailing entertainer.

In major record deal,The record label enjoys 100% creative input
